Eleven Months in the Life of Levi

We've got a roly-poly on our hands! After a couple of months of seemingly no change, Levi has learned a lot of new skills in the past month!

Growth & Development

• Clothing size: 9 mo.
• Diaper size: 3
• Has his first top two teeth now, for a total of four teeth
• Rolls back to front
• Scooches forward on his belly
• Pretty good with "pincer" grip (using thumb and forefinger)

• Rolling & scooching
• Trying to play catch
• Biting :(
• Playing peek-a-boo
• Bubbles & water

Dislikes

• Teething
• Sleeping on his stomach, sometimes
• Loud parties

Fun Facts

• Probably eats too many Cheerios
• His hair has flattened more as it continues to grow
• He's figured out how to hold books!

Eating

Levi hasn't thrown up while eating in a long time; it's probably a combination of us learning the right size and textures of foods for him, and him getting more used to chunkier foods. He enjoys trying new things, although the only things he consistently loves are processed, easy-to-pick-up things like Cheerios, cheese, yogurt bites, cereal puffs, and bits of bread. It's been a lot of fun to feed him mostly the same stuff we do, but now we'll need to pay attention to making sure we have plenty of fruit and vegetables in our family's diet.

Sleeping

Rolling onto his stomach has messed with his ability to fall asleep, as well as the length of his naps, but he still sleeps from 8 p.m. to about 6 or 7 a.m. We used to flip him over once or twice as he fell asleep, but he has pretty much figured it out on his own after a week or two. (He already knew how to roll front to back, but wouldn't do it in bed.) 

It's been fun to see Levi "grow up" the past several months. Tygan had a work trip for a few days earlier this week, and I thought it would be so hard like his previous trips, but taking care of Levi is hundred times easier now than when he was a newborn. Hooray!
